Ascend Meets with Norwegian Ambassador to the UK

Norwegian Ambassador’s Residence | London, UK – The Ascend team met with Norwegian ambassador to the UK for dinner at the ambassador’s London residence for a private dinner reception.

Monita Mo, founder of Ascend Capital Partners, met the Norwegian ambassador to the UK, Wegger Christian Strømmen for dinner at his residence. At the dinner Monita and Ambassador Strømmen discussed the growing high technology sector in Norway and increased collaboration on innovation between Norway and other countries.

One example mentioned was Norway’s attitude towards innovation in the automotive and mobility sector, where the country’s strong focus on reducing carbon emissions led to almost 60% of car sales in March 2019 being accounted for by electric vehicles sales. Ascend and Monita voiced admiration for Norway’s attitude to innovation and business, with the Ambassador and Monita discussing plans for potential investment in the country.

The Ambassador extended a personal invitation to Monita and the Ascend team to visit Norway to conduct investment assessments, and also offered local support to help facilitate Ascend’s visits to Norway.
