Digital Redefining Early Stage Investments (RESI) - Ascend’s Elaine Mo was invited to speak on a panel at the Digital Redefining Early Stage Investments (RESI) panel as a part of the 3-day virtual conference series in June 8-10 2020.

The distinguished panel focused on the many applications of AI in healthcare and how investors see this space for investment opportunities. Topics included:

• Hype vs reality: where areas are we seeing/investing in as real value creation?

• AI as core offering vs enabling capability: What companies do you see in each category? What's a better investment for you?

• Operating models:

o What are some business models that you have/hope to work with AI-relevant companies?

o Where do you see much of the capital being spent within HC AI companies?

• Investment outlook: Given macroeconomic/pandemic/social factors, how is your fund planning forwards and what trends/predictions are you seeing within HC AI?

RESI has around 1500 global investors and channel partners that regularly attend 3 or more RESI conferences a year. LSN estimates that over 350 companies have raised over $500m dollars as a result of including RESI as part of their fundraising strategy.
